This region is incredibly rich in a variety of music and dance styles. We focus on a specific few that have crossed international borders and are found on dance floors all around the world. People from all walks of life have fallen in love with the rhythms found in Central America and the Caribbean.
It can be tricky to pin down the origins of a dance to an exact time and location, especially when you have cultural influences from many different places coming together and creating something exciting and new. However, it’s generally accepted that these fantastic dances come from this region.
