We’ve got lots coming up at the studio. Get in to the group classes to get the most out your dancing.

 Wednesday Group Class

You are going to be dancing the Waltz. Focusing on different combinations from promenade position, how to get in and out of them and how to shape with your partner to make you look your best on the floor.

Thursday Group Class

To assist with our upcoming Flashmob, which will be built around the Samba, Thursday group classes in February will also be working on Samba.  Covering all the essentials that you need for a good Samba. Voltas, Bota Fogos and Samba Walks will  be developed throughout the month so that you can get to grips with this great rhythmical dance.

Saturday Group Class

All month the Saturday group class will be FREE for everyone.

With the Flashmob coming up on Sunday 1st March as part of the Bridge Rd. Global Gathering, the Saturday group classes throughout February will be used as practice sessions.

Remember, you don’t have to know Samba, you only haver to be excited about dancing!

Salsa!

On Tuesday evening at 7pm it’s Salsa!

Working off a few variation on the Salsa Spin.

All levels welcome, from absolute beginners to super advanced, there’s always something for you to learn or improve on. See you there.

Social Foxtrot

On Wednesday at 7pm we’re looking at Social Foxtrot

Everyone goes to a ton of functions in December, so this month we are going to focus on the Social Foxtrot. One of the best and easiest dances for just getting up on the floor wherever you happen to be dancing.

Samba!

On Thursday at 7pm it’s Samba

 

Some fairly straightforward Samba Walks and Bota Fogos from promenade position to counter promenade position. The steps look easy but there’s a lot of technique going on. Get to class to learn more.

Waltz Time!

The smooth and elegant waltz this month.

Lots of work in Promenade Position. We’ll use the Hover with and without chasse an also the Whisk and chasse to help you improve P.P. in your ballroom dancing generally and the waltz specifically.

Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.

MAMBO!!

You asked for it, you got it.

This month the Saturday group class will be working on New York combinations and variations in Mambo. Including, but not limited to doubles, spot turns, figure 4’s, swivels for lady with and without a pop.

Saturday Group Class for October

This month the Saturday Street Latin group class will be working on some Salsa, focusing on partnering the back pass.

It’ll include perfecting your lead/follow skills with this move and also taking it further by adding an extra spin using a sweet low to high hold transition.

We start the Salsa on the first Saturday of October, see you on the floor.

Thursday Group Class for October

This month the Thursday Latin American group class will be working on some Cha Cha Cha, focusing on partnering the base action, New York and Hand to Hand.

This’ll include lots of variations on these moves including double New Yorks, switching between the combinations and making sure that you can all lead/follow well.

Starts on the first Thursday of October, see you on the dance floor.

Tuesday Group Class for October

This month the Tuesday Street Latin group class will be working on some Argentine Tango, focusing on partnering the ocho.

It’ll include lots of variations on the ocho theme including ocho atras, outside partner and also adding boleo, gancho and sentada intros and exits to the mix.

This all kicks off on the first Tuesday of October, see you there.
